Betase B.V. is an independent company on the transfer of knowledge in the fields of materials science and membrane technology.
Technical innovations: the solution for many problems
Betase believes that technical innovations are the basis of the solution for many (social) problems, and that technological progress provides prosperity. The more people, companies and organisations become familiar with technology, technological achievements and technological innovations, the more problems can be solved. Important in this respect is that organisations that are active in a certain (technological) field get acquainted with technology in other fields, and apply that technology in their own field (cross-fertilisation).
Betase contributes to this knowledge transfer – and gives insight into (new) technologies – by writing easily readable booklets with a size of maximum 100 pages on one hand, and by making interactive digital media on the other. Betase works at a scientific level.
Betase is member of …
… among others, the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society (KNCV) and the Dutch Ceramic Society (NKV).
Eddy Brinkman of Betase is since 2006 member of the board of the Netherlands Society for Materials Science (Bond voor Materialenkennis), since 2010 as chairman of the board.
What does the name Betase mean?
In The Netherlands, ‘beta sciences’ is the common name for natural sciences and engineering. Just like the enzymes amylase and lipase in the human body, betase is the name of an imaginary enzyme that converts or translates ‘difficult’ science and technology into accessible matter.
As an SME, Betase is continuously interested in participating in Dutch and European research projects and programs. Projects in the fields of materials development, product development and membrane technology are preferred. Betase’s role is in disseminating the project results and knowledge that has been gained within these projects by writing accessible and easily readable booklets.
