Between 1 October 2009 and 30 September 2011, Betase participated in the European knowledge transfer project iPolyCond, together with other European partners and partly funded by the European Commission. The booklet iPolyCond conductive polymers as well as the book An introduction to conductive polymer composites are results of the project, aiming at developing training materials for plastics converting SME’s and their customers.
iPolyCond is a continuation of the European project PolyCond where conductive polymer composites were developed: materials that are able to shield against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and to protect against electrostatic discharge (ESD) in electronic devices.

Within iPolyCond, Betase cooperated with partners from Finland, Spain, Hungary, United Kingdom, Belgium and The Netherlands. These partners are VTT, Aimplas, Faperin, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, British Plastics Federation, iSmithers, TBA Electro Conductive Products, EuPC and Promolding.
