BvM and NKV are present at Materials 2014 trade fair and congress

Eddy Brinkman of Betase is closely involved in Materials 2014 trade fair and congress (www.materialenbeurs.nl), that will take place on April 16 and 17 in Congress Center Koningshof in Veldhoven, The Netherlands.

As president of the Netherlands Society for Materials Science (Bond voor Materialenkennis, BvM, www.materialenkennis.nl) he was asked to be a member of the program committee for the congress part of Materials 2014. The BvM itself is also present at the trade fair, in booth 61 together with Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland/IOP Self Healing Materials. On this trade fair, visitors have the ability to get familiar with the activities of the BvM, and can ask materials related questions to members of the BvM.

Under the umbrella of the Netherlands Ceramic Society (Nederlandse Keramische Vereniging, NKV, www.ceramics.nl) seven Dutch advanced ceramics companies present themselves on the trade floor in the so called NKV Technical Ceramics Hotspot. But there’s more: the visitors can attend an interesting and versatile lecture program on (new developments within) advanced ceramics, including ‘flexible’ ceramic composites, self healing ceramics, printing of advanced ceramics and ceramic membranes. Eddy Brinkman coordinates this lecture program, and is chairman during the second congress day on April 17.
